If you are a producer, emerging film maker or NGO manager and you would like to make programmes for Cape Town TV, you can enter into a production partnership with the channel. The first step is to develop a programme proposal, which includes a concept, background, synopsis, treatment (including a detailed outline of at least the first episode) and detailed budget.

Your programme idea must fall within the parameters of CTV's programming policy. If the channel accepts your idea, you will be granted a Conditional Broadcast Agreement stating that the channel will broadcast your programming on completion, providing that it is done in accordance with the conditions set out in the proposal as well as acceptable technical parameters.

You will then be able to raise your own finance through sponsorships or donations. If your proposal is accepted as one of our in-house productions, the channel will help you to find a sponsor for the project.

The channel can provide programme partners with use of video studios and can help to source other production facilities where necessary.
