Cape Town TV (CTV) is dedicated to providing the people of Cape Town with a television service that is entertaining, informative and educational. The channel is run by a non-profit organisation and is licensed as a community television station.
CTV aims to provide the people of Cape Town with access to television for community building purposes. Individuals, companies and civil society groups can join in our programming and production activities.
CTV went live on 1 September 2008. The channel plays an eclectic mix of local and international content that ranges from documentaries about Cape Town's people and history to sports, events, entertainment and spirituality.
